Her nickname is Lee. She’s our 2009 Most Popular Lady REALTOR® .
Charming, articulate, smart, friendly, goal-oriented and every inch a REALTOR®—she’s got the qualities of a fine ambassadress of goodwill.
If there is such thing as an RBR baby, she’s it. Her mother, Rosa Carbonell, was a pioneer of the Rizal Board. Keeping her mother company practically taught her to love the business.
At the age of 21 she took the real estate broker licensure exam and passed it. She also completed IPREA’s appraisal seminar last September. The last five years she has involved herself in build-and-sell business.
Last September she took her oath as a full pledge RBR member.
PP Ed Aceron and his wife, Marie, encouraged her to become a member. Her mother too encouraged her.
Real estate was the bread and butter of the Carbonell family. No wonder Lee calls the Rizal Board her family. She said, “I am happy and satisfied by how my RBR family is treating and supporting me.”
When asked what she thinks is her edge over the other contestants for the MPLR title, she said, “I am blessed with a family, relatives, friends, and my RBR family who are very supportive.”
Rosalie is very family-oriented. She married Louis because with him it is always family first. She adored her single mother because she made sure that Lee and her siblings grew up happy, comfortable and worry-free as much as possible.
“The important values I hope to pass on to my children are that family always comes first,” Lee said.
She sees to it that she and her husband spend regular, quality time together, apart from their two kids. From him, she learned to be sensitive to the needs and feelings of others. According to her, the habit of saying ‘Please,’ ‘Thank you,’ ‘I’m sorry,’ and ‘I forgive you’ are basic gestures that nurture their relationship.
“I am expressive of my love for my husband. I believe that being kind and submissive to him will give a favorable, lasting result,” Lee gushed.
The other person who has influenced Lee is her mother.
“My outlook towards finances and investments is greatly influenced by her,” she said. “I have always admired how she handles her business affairs and how she strives to succeed despite the odds. I find her business acumen quite unique.”
As far as her children are concerned, Lee said, “Just as my mother was generous to me, so am I to my kids. I want them to live comfortably and luxuriously whenever possible. However, I am strict when it comes to their study, eating and sleeping habits. I set rules and explain to them its significance. I teach them to count their blessings and be grateful for them; to be sensitive to the feelings and needs of the others; and above all, to do unto others what they want others to do to them.
“Leading them to see the right options helps them to make the right decisions,” she added.
The favorite family-bonding activity is sharing stories. The four of them love to go on outings and vacations. But on Sundays, they simply enjoy cooking and stay at home.
When asked what she hopes to gain from the MPLR competition, she said, “I hope to gain more friends, especially in the RBR circle. To learn more about PAREB, to be updated on the latest trends in the industry, with emphasis on marketing. To travel and visit different places.”
Her husband was so proud of her candidacy that he had announced the contest to his co-lawyers in the division where he works. He has faith that she will win it.
